“You want local furniture? Hawkins is the place to go if you’re going for a country living aesthetic.
The colourful exterior only hints at the fun stuff you’ll find inside. A lot of the pieces are wood, all sourced from around Texas. There’s a lot of pecan, black walnut, and oak. There are tons of pieces that are painted in very bright colours, and they remind me more of the New Mexico southwestern style.
The owner is quite lovely, and he has a cute pug that accompanies him at the store!”
